What Is The Difference Between Voice of God And Master of Ceremonies?
My history of acting as a Master of Ceremonies has put me at ease when it comes to keeping the energy up with a crowd.
While my MC experience has massively helped with my comfort improvising on the spot to keep the show going, it has one other huge advantage which is that I have so much more to work with than just my voice.
A Master of Ceremonies is a visible host in the room, where the physicality of the role can help you win over a crowd by utilising body language and physical comedy to keep their attention.
The real skill of a Voice of God job, and why they’re so skillfull, is that you only have your voice to work with.
It’s why a Voice of God or live event announcer needs to have a confident, friendly and authoritative voice, in order to grab the audience’s attention while not even being in the room, but also possibly not even being live!
